My mission for the 3D Redesign Project is to create a design that holds a privacy panel for students that want to work independently without distractions at a group of tables (sorta like a cubical). I have been given 2-3 weeks from inception of the design to finishing it.
Design
The design I was going for was something that was simple and easy on the eyes, nothing that really stood out was the idea behind my design. When we talked to Mrs.Ramsey for what she wanted on the panel portion of the project, she wanted something to deal with nature or Waunakee themed. I decided to go the nature route. So for the project we had to design and make 2 holders for the plexiglass panel that is intended on getting frosted so it give people working at the tables privacy to do their own work.

Holder
For the first design for the holder I came up with the one pictured to the right but shortly after taking a look at what others were doing and what my dimensions really were. I decided that the slot to hold the glass was too small and would not support it up right and not fit around the bolts at the bottom of the table.

Divider
This is what the panel would look like if lasered the gray is just dust from the laser and whatever is gray/tan is supposed to be frosted and what ever is white is clear. I went for the very simplistic and clean nature look with very little clear spots but enough that it adds contrast and clear spots.

What I Learned
I learned in this project that, doing research online before you start the design of your own project and I also learned that I need to manage my time wiser than what I ended up doing. I will act on this for later projects and then maximize the time I have in class. Because I was pressed for time in the end of this project.
